Blending bold colors with nostalgic elegance.

Tess Twiehaus is an interior designer known for creating bespoke, expressive designs. Inspired by her mother, who was constantly renovating her childhood home, she began her interior design studio. In 2020, Tess Interiors turned passion into a career. Based out of NY and LA, she focuses on crafting spaces that reflect her client’s unique personalities and lifestyles.

Tess believes a home should mirror its owner. She designs interiors that tell her clients’ stories, making each space feel personal and meaningful. Known for her warm and collaborative approach, Tess ensures the design process is enjoyable and rewarding, creating beautifully tailored environments that genuinely resonate with those who live in them. We feel the same way about choosing art pieces.

“I was drawn to the artwork for various reasons. I love color, especially in interiors. I felt that a lot of these pieces could tie together a whole space! There are quirky details in some and vintage details in others – both of these elements occur in our designs.”

Colorful artworks that tie spaces together:

Colorful artworks have the ability uplift the spirit and impact the brain, with warm hues bringing vibrancy and passion, and cool tones providing calmness and tranquility. In a minimalist or monochrome setting, these vibrant pieces effortlessly tie the entire space together, making it feel complete and harmonious.

Quirky Details:

Quirky artworks infuse spaces with unique stories and a charm that ordinary decor can’t match. More than just stylistic choices, quirkiness in art reflects the artist’s intent and creative expression, often carrying a deeper meaning that adds character to the space.

Vintage Details:

Vintage details in art bring a sense of history, evoking nostalgia, sophistication, and elegance. Each detail reflects the style or culture of a specific time period. When combined with a contemporary space, vintage detailed art creates the perfect balance of past and present.
