The Albert Hotel Collection

Our Work
The Albert Hotel Collection

Art inspired by place.

Rooted in the history of Fredericksburg, The Albert Hotel reflects the vision of Albert Keidel, combining timeless design with the vibrant spirit of the Texas Hill Country. The hotel balances the preservation of Fredericksburg’s German heritage with modern architectural elements, creating a blend of tradition and contemporary design. A tribute to Keidel, an architect and historic preservationist who shaped the look and feel of Fredericksburg, the hotel embodies his passion for spaces that honor the beauty of the Hill Country. Just as the hotel celebrates Fredericksburg’s unique character, each piece in this collection reflects that same individuality, honoring local artistry and the dedication of artists who share Albert’s passion for their craft.

Thomas Hart Benton’s Sister “Jessie with Guitar”

Intertwangled oil painting

About the artist

Butch Anthony is a self-taught artist who transforms the familiar into the extraordinary, blending storytelling, humor, and the unexpected. Known for creating his own genre, Intertwanglelism, he reimagines 19th-century portraits by overlaying skeletal structures, found objects, and phrases inspired by his life, giving them new energy. Anthony uses materials like cow skulls, fossils, and discarded objects, incorporating them into his art to give each piece a deeper personal meaning. He turns relics into visual narratives, celebrating the beauty of what others might overlook.
