Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas 2024

Our Work
Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas 2024

CoCollect X Kips Bay

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House is an annual event where top interior designers transform a luxury home with diverse creative ideas. This event isn’t just a showcase of design talent—it’s a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club, helping support and empower youth through meaningful programs. Each designer takes the unique opportunity to create their space without rules, drawing inspiration from childhood stories, personal experiences, or specific concepts, allowing their individuality to shine through. This year, the event returned to Dallas, and we were thrilled to act as the art sponsor for several select designers. It was fun introducing them to our concept and selecting pieces that align with their stories and visions. Below, find the designers we worked with and details about the artworks that brought their spaces to life.

French & French Interiors

Inspired by the iconic Flagler Museum, French & French Interiors have transformed the upstairs salon into an inviting, warm, and intimate space. Every surface has been thoughtfully curated, from the grand architectural elements to the little details. From the tented ceiling to the custom Gracie mural – featuring scenic Americana – this salon is inspired for the lady of the house and her friends to relax, sip cocktails, or enjoy a quiet moment. The piece Yellow Tail I adds a bright pop of color and texture, beautifully complementing the detailed wallpaper and bringing an extra layer of vibrancy to the room’s refined charm.

Robert Brown Interior Design

Robert Brown’s design of the west wing salon embraces a mix of textures and styles, transforming the space into a “Salon d’Art Moderne.” An abstract linen wallpaper sets the tone, bridging the room’s traditional architecture with contemporary flair. Brown blends European antiques, modern furniture, and contemporary art to create a timeless and fresh space. The gallery wall featuring photography (some from local Dallas and Austin artists), statement sculpture, and various art pieces around create the impression of a collection curated over the years.

Traci Connell Interiors

Inspired by the building’s history, Traci Connell redesigns a traditionally masculine cigar lounge into a luxurious, feminine space. Her “Femme Fumoir” keeps the room’s moody essence but adds a glamorous twist for the modern woman. With modern touches like playful lighting and a leather-wrapped humidor, complemented by rich hues of aubergine, Connell creates the perfect setting for a woman’s night. A striking collaged portrait piece enhances the feminine energy, reinforcing a delicate yet bold transformation of a traditional cigar room.

Loudermilk Jordan

Loudermilk Jordan transforms the staircase and upper gallery into a striking design moment, turning a typically utilitarian space into a bold focal point within the home. An oversized floral mural from Gracie creates a dramatic backdrop. The mural, a modern twist on old-world charm – nods to classic London members’ clubs and Fifth Avenue hotels – but with a fresh, contemporary flair. A vibrant two-tone abstract piece complements the wallpaper while still making a bold statement, adding depth and contrast. Every inch of this gallery tells a story, making this entire space a work of art.

Champagne Designs

Martha Champagne channels the serene beauty of Tuscany in her design of the ladies’ bath and gallery. Inspired by her trip to Italy, Champagne transforms the space into a soothing “green dream”—or sogno verde—where nature’s elegance and tranquility take over. By incorporating bold, intricate tile patterns, fixtures, and details, she challenges the traditional idea that a tranquil bathroom must be minimalist. The space is adorned with soft, natural art, including photographs of birds and silhouettes in green dresses, tying the gallery and bath together beautifully.

Henry Street Design

Henry Street Design crafts a tea room that blends traditional charm with unique details. Whether used as a breakfast nook or a spot for an evening chat, this space transitions effortlessly from day to night. Inspired by the opulent Brighton Pavilion, the designers enchanted the room’s architecture with touches like brass medallions, plaster frieze, and a silk wall covering, creating a rich, layered look. The artwork, featuring a serene garden scene, textured linen pieces, and a playful cake photograph, adds a whimsical yet elegant touch that perfectly captures the essence of a tea room.

We’re honored to have been part of this incredible event, all in support of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. A big thank you to the talented designers who collaborated with us to bring their vision to life, and to Kips Bay for making it all happen. Special thanks as well to the chairs, Chad Dorsey and Jean Liu, for making this year’s show house a true success.
