A Classic Meets Contemporary
We recently had the pleasure of working with the talented Liz MacPhail Interiors on the Maiden House — a beautifully restored residence that masterfully blends history with fresh perspective. Liz’s passion for older homes and architecture always shines through, and this one was no exception. The thoughtful renovation, done in collaboration with an innovative architecture group, brought new life into a classic structure.
Our role was to curate an art collection that celebrated both the timelessness of the home and the energy of contemporary culture. The result is a mix of post-war works by icons like Ellsworth Kelly and Theodor Appleby, alongside bold, modern pieces from artists like Thomas Trum and Emilia Momen. Together, they form a dialogue that honors the past while embracing the now.
We also love a good window moment — and this home delivers. The art is visible from the outside, offering a glimpse into a world that feels collected, intentional, and alive.
